This ensures all debris is fully removed, allowing proper sterilization. Sterilog system is a digital system that allows us to track the sterilization history of instruments we used on each patient. The systems uses powerful rooftop units in conjunction with a separate diffuser in each operatory to push any aerosols generated during treatment downward and out through return duct work. This new system dramatically improves air quality in the clinic. The air exchange rate is 9 air changes per hour of supply air - i.e. every 7 min all the air in the space passes through the two sets of filters in the rooftop units and is recirculated back into the space. The outdoor air exchange rate is 3 air changes per hour - i.e. every 20 minutes all the air in the space is replaced with filtered outdoor air. The system uses two levels of filtration - the first set of filters is MERV 8 (equivalent to a household furnace filter,) the second set of filters is MERV 14 (filters particles that are 0.3-1.0 microns with 98% efficiency.)
