Technology
CBCT Scans
A CBCT creates a 3-dimensional picture of the teeth and surrounding structures that is much more comprehensive than a traditional x-ray. CBCTs improve our diagnosis and treatment capabilities for root canal treatments, diagnosing tooth fractures and helping plan the surgical placement of implants.
Digital X-rays & Panographs
Digital X-rays produce high quality images with a lower dose of radiation compared to traditional film x-rays. They can also be enlarged and manipulated to provide the clearest possible image for early diagnosis.
Intra-Oral Cameras
Intra-oral cameras allow us to document and communicate oral conditions with you, other members of the dental team and insurance carriers.

Digital Scans
Digital scanning has reduced the need for traditional impressions for most procedures in the office. The digital scanner produces a highly accurate record of teeth and surrounding structures that can be used to fabricate crowns, bridges and night guards.
Sleep & TMD Studies
Do you need relief from jaw pain or snoring? Dr. Winchar has over 30 years of expertise in temporomandibular jaw dysfunction (TMD) and used advanced computerized jaw tracking technology to diagnose and treat your jaw and sleep issues.

Infection Control
State-of-the-Art Sterilization System
Hydrim dishwashers are used to clean instruments prior to sterilization. This ensures all debris is fully removed, allowing proper sterilization.
Sterilog system is a digital system that allows us to track the sterilization history of instruments we used on each patient. The information is uploaded into your treatment record as part of our charting process.
Ventilation & Air Filtration
A state-of-the-art HVAC system has been installed as part of our recent clinic renovation. The systems uses powerful rooftop units in conjunction with a separate diffuser in each operatory to push any aerosols generated during treatment downward and out through return duct work. This new system dramatically improves air quality in the clinic.
The air exchange rate is 9 air changes per hour of supply air - i.e. every 7 min all the air in the space passes through the two sets of filters in the rooftop units and is recirculated back into the space.
The outdoor air exchange rate is 3 air changes per hour - i.e. every 20 minutes all the air in the space is replaced with filtered outdoor air.
The system uses two levels of filtration - the first set of filters is MERV 8 (equivalent to a household furnace filter,) the second set of filters is MERV 14 (filters particles that are 0.3-1.0 microns with 98% efficiency.)
At Creekside Dental, we are also making strides to protect our environment.
We have installed high efficiency heating and cooling systems, use high efficiency light bulbs, recycle papers and plastics, and use separators to prevent contaminants from our grey water from entering our lakes and rivers. Our digital x-rays not only lower your dose of radiation, but eliminate the need for chemicals. Charting and most communications are digital to limit our paper consumption.
